Are you coming with me? Let's go to the lake. I'll swim while you canoe, and our husbands can go fishing. Later we'll grab the SUPS and get a full body workout as we actually stand up and paddle around. I'm always up for a trip to a lake.
I grew up in the greater Seattle area. Lake Washington and Lake Samamish were my playgrounds. Every day my junior high summers, my mom would drive my best friend and I to the lake. We would swim, float, lay out and just have so much fun.
When I lived in Keystone, Colorado, I taught ice skating lessons on the frozen Keystone Lake. It's a 5 acre lake with 3 Zambonis. It's magical to skate on "wild ice". In the summer, we would rent out paddle boats, canoes and stand up paddle boards. Keystone Lake is simply divine.
Other lakes I love: Lake Dale on San Juan Island, Lake Geneva in Wisconsin, Starnberg Lake in Germany and Bear Lake in Utah. What about you?
